This past weekend, I went to my Missouri hometown, Appleton City, to photograph a family session. This session was special to me, because it was for some very important people… My “extended family!” We are not related by blood, but they are family to me, nonetheless. We have spent holidays, birthdays, and special occasions together since I was little.
We met up at Grandma and Grandpa’s farm and took advantage of the beautiful weather to get some great shots. They are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this month, so I know that these photos will be treasured!

Because I simply CANNOT narrow down my favorites, I’ve decided to split up this session into several blog posts. Today, I’ll start off with the kids. I have known these kiddos since they were in their mommas’ bellies. I definitely felt old when I had Katie listen to one of my old N’Sync CDs last year and she had never heard of them before. *sigh* The big 3-0 is approaching way too fast for me…
Anyway, please take a peek at Katie, Nathan, Daniel, & Sarah’s pictures and leave them some comment love!

The girls were feeling adventurous and made their way up to the hay loft for a few photos. I love this next one in black and white!

The boys wanted their photo taken with this cute little calf. This photo was taken shortly after “cute little calf” relieved itself…

More photos coming soon!
